  • Strong conference, witness-handling, research and ethical decision-making skills are essential.
  • Securing pupillage is highly competitive, making intensive advocacy training and professional preparation especially important.

The Education

BPP’s BTC integrates procedural knowledge with the practical skills expected of barristers, allowing you to experience how legal rules and courtroom skills work together in realistic professional situations.

The Professional Practice Advantage

The course follows the lifecycle of civil and criminal cases. You apply procedural knowledge alongside advocacy, drafting, conference and research skills in realistic legal contexts.
